Thank you so much. I know what you mean. I miss me so much. I miss who I was, the energy I had and most of all the life I shared with so many friends and family. It's not the pain that is so bad it's me being lost that I hate. It's so hard to tell people that as you have to stop doing so many things that you took for granted. I don't think that my docs admit yet how bad it is for me. They don't want to give up. My PMD and I have been through a lot. I saw him for this first time with chronic pelvic pain in 1999. It turned into fibro and now RSD. But, you know I'm not ready to give up on me either. I believe in me and us and life so much. There has to be more to life than pain. But if not I do believe in eternal life and I know someday when I shed this human body, it will be uplifting and with no pain at all. So, live I will. Day to day and do the best I can. Encourage as many people as I can. Learn as much as I can. Because I can.

Hi LiZ,

That's a great attitude you have. You can still be considered a "positive" person and have "down-in-the-dump" days once in a while. I think it's totally normal and expected. I also believe that there is more to life than this and that one day, we will not feel any pain. Some people might not want to see this, and I was one of them a few years ago, but it is very possible that things could be so much worse. Thinking about that helps me get through tough times. I know that aside from the RSD, I am very fortunate. I could have so many other negatives in my life, but I don't and for that I am grateful. Hang in! By the way, I have no answers for you about the TENS. I've never had that happen to me before. Maybe someone else has.

You have a wonderful attitude. A lot of people could learn from you, even those who don't suffer from RSD. Thanks for being my inspiration of the day! Cheryl

Boy, what a day yesterday was. I broke down at PT and cried. I have never done that. The pain was so intense and now I am having trouble with my right hip. On top of that I came home and got sick. Plus, it was my eldest birthday sleep over night. I was exhausted and in bed by 7 p.m. Thank God for my husband. He just deals and doesn't complain. I figure if he doesn't, than I need to stay positive.

On that note, I think when I see my PMD this time I will tell him something has to give. Sharon, I have been keeping a diary of the nausea and pain. When the pain is what I describe as unbearable, I always get sick. Some other days I just have the nausea, but it's not everyday. I think it truly has to do with the pain and how intense it is on any given day. And the blocks aren't working. Last time all I got was a back ache for a day. It was fun, but I can think of better things to do.

I bet you're right about the nausea and the pain. I feel the same way. When my pain is really bad, I also get nauseas. I am so glad that you have such a great husband and family. I think having a good support system can get you through almost anything. Hang in there.
