Weather & RSD??????????? - Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Message Board

My hubby thinks it's time to change Dr.'s as he cannot get my pain under control. Yesterday I was bawling BUT our weather dropped 30 degrees, doesn't this bother all of you??????????? It's a bit better today. Any answers PLEASE!

Hi Mimi...read you post. David too is reacting to our very much colder weather here in the UK. It varies from individual. Some can't stand the hot weather, and some the cold. This always seems to give rise to increased pain. Important to wrap up and keep warm I think.

I know my pain goes way up when the weather changes! When a cold front swoops down and it's raining..oh boy! That hurts!! I hate the cold. Well, anything about 70 is cold to me! (Florida girl here!) LOL
If the barometer and humidity are messed up that causes me pain. I think it's the same for most of us with rsd.

Hi Mimi,

Cold weather and my RSD are a horrid combination. Once my RSD limbs get cold it is a long and painfull process to get them warm amd get the circulation going again.

You definetly are not alone.

Mimi,

I detest the cold... it's when my leg feels like a frozen icicle that is in boiling water.. hurts like hell and it feels like my bones are being crushed.

I told my kids yesterday morning that a cold front was on the way, coz my ankle felt like someone was pushing their thumbs into the bones trying to crush them and rip them apart and they laughed at me because it was such a warm day. Sure enough at 2:30am one hell of a storm came through.

My leg is an unofficial barometer.. I can almost predict how many cold fronts are on their way.
