Hi DizzyDi!

Thank you for your response on my thread about the Blocks....I am honored to be your very first post here!

I just wanted to welcome you to our Wonderful Support Board....I do believe you are the first I have seen from Scotland! We have posters from all over the world, mostly America but also Australia and UK too! What fun! I tried to do a Scottish accent when I was reading your post to Joey, but I couldn't get it right!

lol....I love to do accents!

You kind of freaked me out about the Spinal Leak your daughter had....Yuk! Eeeeewwwwwww! Gross! I guess I've kind of blocked out of my mind the dangers of having Spinal Blocks! Thanks for reminding me!

I hope your daughter is getting some relief from her agony.....how long has she had RSD? What triggered it, do you know? It's supposed to be prevalent in children, yet we don't have too many posters here writing for their children???

I hope your daughter has a low pain day today!

Hi Dizzy D...welcome. I too am a Scot, and finding this Board has been a real comfort to me. It's my son who has RSD, and exchanging information and being able to vent when things go wrong has been a godsend.
I hope you will stay around, and enjoy all the fun times we have too!

Thanks to everyone for my welcome,My daughter Natalie ( Natz ) has had rsd for a year now,she had a minor opp last year in August to have a Neuroma removed from the inside of her left foot,five weeks later she had deep vain thrombosis d.v.t. at fourteen years of age the following week we were told by the consultant that did her operation that she had rsd in fact what he said was "ah! this is a classic case of RSD,you have probably read about it in magazine's" My daughter and i just looked at each other and said "what " anyway thats how we found out.we knew right away the day after her operation that something was not right with her foot it was going blue and very cold,when we phoned the hospital all they said was elevate her foot.What a joke eh!..I did read earlier someone else on this site had a morton's Neuroma removed and had the same problem,maybe they can post me with how there problem started.

Hi Diane,

Welcome to the boards. It's a great place to come for information and support. There are a lot of great people here. Another woman who posts here, Donna, has a daughter also with RSD. Her name is Shannon and she is 11. Maybe you guys can talk.
