Hi Dayton....so sorry to read about the latest development. It must make you feel very despondant and scared. Not to have sleep too when you have to work makes things even worse. I hope you can get the meds sorted out, in order to get some relief.
Ax you know David has the pain of RSD in all four limbs, but the worst of the pain is confined to his feet. He went up two sizes in shoes, although he does not have the shiny skin he did on his right hand which was the site of the fracture. However, he has the burning pain in them even although they are icy cold to touch. Personally , and in the latest documention, it seems that the notion of "stages" has now been dropped and according to the latest International Study it says that whenever RSD is present then there are changes in the central nervous system. This makes the syndrome variable from individual to individual, and the symptoms variable also. Physio, along with meds I think is important. Are you having physio? I guess time(from your job) and money might make that difficult. It is all so frustrating, and certainly has an effect on exacerbating pain levels.
I hope you have a good doctor that you can talk this through with. Best of luck.
Hugs,
Edna xx
