You mentioned that the RSD has moved from your hand and wrist and you now have a frozen shoulder. Does that mean the other symptoms of RSD are gone in your hand and wrist and all you are left with is the frozen shoulder? What are the doctors doing about your shoulder? I am very interested because that is what happened to me. they feel the RSD has subsided and that I had a frozen shoulder all along. My pain is in my shoulder and upper arm and the thumb is still stiff to move at times. He gave me an injection in the bursa of my shoulder yesterday and if I see improvement he wants to do a manipulation under anaesthetic taking the precaution of using a nerve block before he goes in arthroscopically. There are no guarantees that the RSD will not return, but they are hopeful. Cheryl

Hello again Cheryl......No luck yet in contacting the performing arts centre, but reponding to the frozen shoulder query. David has not had any relief in his hand and arm, even although a frozen shoulder has been diagnosed. As well to be aware that meds can mask objective symptoms, without the RSD having subsided.
Good luck with the arthroscopy if you decide to have it.

Hi Cheryl,

Did your doc mention doing the manipulation without the scope or does he have to do other stuff too? I assume since he's scoping it that you have other damage too. I had a manipulation done on my knee and there was no cutting involved. Good luck with it. I hope it takes care of all your problems.
