Our dd likes to donate blood to the Red Cross. Is there any reason why she shouldn't? She was diagnosed with RSD 18 months ago and is in remission now. She's given blood twice with no adverse effects, but is her blood suspect? She has a rare blood type (universal donor) and wants to help.

Thanks, FaithMom
to date they do not know what truly "causes" RSD/CRPS so there is no reason to believe her blood is tainted. any way they test the blood before using it. the only thing I would be wary of is the possibility it will trigger the RSD again. needle injections are sometimes a catalyst. if it was done before with no problem she could be fine.My personal "opinion" though always ask a dr if unsure though.
