Not sure why they are staying lit.

Could be the following reasons:
* You might have a bad cookie on your browser. You could correct this by deleting and reseting your cookie. To do this, click on the preferences link located at the upper right near the "New Topic" button.

* The expired date for the cookie doesn't work right away but takes several days. You could wait one more day to see if the light goes out.

I'll have a look at the code to see if I can spot something.
