Posting

Hi, I was registered and logged in and I had typed a lengthy post.
When I clicked to post it, it showed I needed to log in and now the post is gone.
I am concerned about retyping it and having that happen again.

thank you, millime

Re: Posting

Then the issue is with something else to do not being correctly logged in. The 'need to login' message only appears if you are not properly logged in. Just seeing your username does not mean you are logged in. Refresh the page before you login to reply to make sure you are indeed logged in.

Also read in the FAQ 'how' to about cookies and regularly refresh those on your computer.
Outside of this, just be careful how you login and post and if you write a lot, you may want to copy it before you click Submit, just in case.
