When can I PM?

Hi all,

I'd like to PM another user who had a surgery similar to one I have upcoming. He had this many years ago and I'd like to ask how his long-term results were, if I can send him a PM.

I'm not a spam bot. Is there any way I can get PMing activated on my account?

If not, how long does it take to become a 'long term member' (as per the FAQ) so I can PM?

Thanks!

Private messaging privileges are given when you have ten or more posts. You must then enable private messaging in your user control panel. Please note that members may choose to refuse private messaging or may not have enabled private messaging, even if they are eligible. If a member does not have private messaging enabled, please respect their privacy. As per the Posting Policy, please never discuss private messaging on the message boards. Private messaging is, well, it's private!

Also, the best thing to do is post a reply to the member's thread.

However, please do not reply to posts that are older than six months.
