How to Proceed?
I went skiing for the first time ever a few weeks ago and had a lesson. My ski instructor was a cute, young guy (too young for me, but cute!). Shortly after my lesson was done, another ski instructor came over and started giving me pointers and helping me out. I thought, "Great! Free lessons!" Didn't think anything of it, since this guy was probably about 70 years old (at least!) But he followed me around most of the day, but I was okay with it since I really needed the help. ANd he was polite and all, but I kind of got the feeling maybe he was "interested" , but I would quickly shrug it off and think, "he's 70 years old! Maybe I just remind him of his grand-daughter." Then he let me "borrow" his ski goggles and when I went to give them back, he insisted I keep them. ANyway, he sent me an email (when I registered for lessons, I gave them my email address). He wrote just to say that I did well skiing, etc. So I responded...but now we have an email "correpondence" going and I don't feel comfortable. He has not done or said anything inappropriate, but I'm just getting worried about him asking if we could "get together some time". I'm not a very direct person and I don't like confrontation. At the same time, he seems like a nice guy..but..perhaps I am just being naive to think he just wants to be pen-pals? He has now asked me for my personal email addres (the one he is using is for my work). How do I respond to this? I know I don't owe him anything, but I don't want to be rude either. Besides, I don't know what his intentions are and I don't want to be presumptuous that he is "interested".
