Age Gap - Relationship Health Message Board

I am a 28 year male, about to turn 29 in a few weeks. I am currently seeing a 20 year old female, that wont be turning 21 at the end of the year.

I was kinda of curious how people handle age gapped relationships?

I have dated women my age and women older than me. My last serious relationships that lasted anywhere from 2 1/2 - 4 years. One being 4 years younger than me and the other being 5.5 years younger which lasted quite some time.

This girl is actually one of the most matured girls I have met. Which actually makes me or attracted to her. The only thing that is hard for me is the age gap, the experience that I have seen and the things she cant do.

For example: We were talking about music, and I mention how a particular song came out 10 years ago. She said she cant recall. (its not bad that she doesn't know, she kinda made me think how old i was).
We both enjoy partying and dont mind throwing back a few. But she cant get into some of these clubs or bars...

Well if you like her man then just learn how to deal with your differences. You both are of age but she can't even go in the bar yet.

You both are in 2 different stages of you life: 1. You are ready to settle(I am thinking) 2. And she hasn't even experience the 21 & 22 party life & may not be ready ye.

Caring for each other is an easy thing if you both have the same feeling but what may make it hard is you both just being so different. The best way to handle thing is just except her for who she is so you both can adapt to each other.
