Is it okay to have really good friends much younger?
Is it okay to have good friends that are almost 10 years younger? We'd rather (or I) have friends that were are age or older, but seem to connect more with younger ones. We're a couple in our late 30's and early 40's.
Can it still be a healthy one for our side?

I think having friends of all ages is great! Age, after all, is only a number and if you have a lot in common with these friends, then it shouldn't make any difference. My best friend happens to be 12 yrs. younger than I am. We enjoy so many of the same things--music, cooking, flea markets, exploring new places, and motorcycles. And we never even THINK about age difference. So have a great time with your younger friends and enrich each others' lives!

I am 21, with friends as young as 17 and as old as 88. Nothing wrong with it at all! Some of the most awesome people I hang out with are 10 - 15 yrs older than me.

Some of my best friends are 10 years older then me and I get along with them better than anyone! I am 21 and most of my best friends are 29-31. I think it's great to have friends of all ages.

Thanks for sharing I don't know why I have to be so concerned about age when it comes to making friends. I guess I think I'd learn more from people that have been around longer because I've already gone through a lot of the stages the younger ones have been through, more or less. I also thought I should learn to be my age because I don't feel my age. Actually, I feel one age and can't seem to relate to others my age.
