It hurts me that my friend doesn't trust me

Is there anything I can do to become more trustworthy. I can be trusted, I just have difficulty showing it.

Thanks!

Re: It hurts me that my friend doesn't trust me

I'm thinking that it would help if we knew the story about why your friend doesn't trust you... Was there a reason? Or has your friend been hurt before when someone hasn't been trustworthy??

Sometimes it just takes time & patience. Sooner or later a friend will tell you something that is very personal. And all you need to do is NOT tell another soul what that thing is.

She's been hurt before by someone else who hasn't been trustworthy. I can honestly say that I've never done anything against her.

Re: It hurts me that my friend doesn't trust me

If you haven't done anything to her, and the reason she doesn't trust you is because of HER past, I don't think there is anything you can do to earn her trust, other than give it time. It's her issue, not yours. You can't cure her issues, SHE is the one who needs to work on this, not you.
I would say all you can do at this point is give her time, be there and continue to NOT do anything to against her.
If she is willing to talk about her past with you, talk to her about it and listen to her. That's the most important piece in gaining trust - showing you care by listening.

I don't trust anybody or at least only until some point. I was hurt too may times. At job especially every word is reported, even if you say something really innocent and insignificant to person who seems to be your friend.
I was hurt by shrinks 2 times who supposed to be here for me since they were paid.
