Two weeks is too short a period of time. Your state of mind is very typical for someone who has recently broken a relationship. I am sure that you are going to get over it earlier than you think you are able to. It would help if you found a new and encouraging occupation, study or challenge and started to plan for the times to come. A good idea would be to improve your own health, even if you think your health is already impeccable.

Best to you.

Re: why does my heart keep breaking?

I think break ups are a very individual experience and you just need to go through what your heart and mind is telling you to so cry if you feel like crying and talk to someone when you feel like talking. I have also broken up with someone recently and the wounds are still raw and I feel a different emotion every day. it's just hard to adjust to not a having someone in your life who you are used to being there. I have been trying to focus on the positives (as like you there are many) but there's an emptiness that a relationship leaves when it ends and I think it just takes time to heal. I have found that space slowly begininning to get smaller now I have joined a gym and have organised to see my friends and family more often than I had the chance to do before. So perhaps take up a new hobby, something new that has no link to him or memories of him.

Re: why does my heart keep breaking?

I know exactly what you're going through. Read my post: http://www.healthboards.com/boards/showthread.php?t=437626

And I don't understand it either. How can you be so miserable with someone, yet feel even worse without them? I was in a realtionship before this last one, and getting over that guy was nothing like this. But I like to think of it this way: We have really big hearts, and therefore filling that empty space left behind must take quite a long time.
