a suprise present

I have 600 pounds and was wondering how I could give a present/suprise to my mum due to some events I'd not like to say.

It's just to remind her I love her really. I was thinking of saving up more for a holiday in Dubai or something, but I'm stuck on other ideas.

Anyone got any??

Re: a suprise present

you just want one big gift or are you willing to buy several gifts? i had to look up 600 pounds and i guess it's about 1125 dollars. so for about 160 lbs you could get a good spa package. a lot of women love spa treatments. i'm trying to think of other things.

And what about your dad? Don't you think he could be jealous or envious?

As for the present, well, why not hand her the money, so she can choose what to do about it? Just a idea.

Never mind about my dad.

Yeah a spa package is a great idea

I don't mind whether it's one big gift or certain small ones.

Re: a suprise present

Ok.

My hidden point about your dad was that maybe you wouldn't need to give your mother a very expensive present. In my mind, it looks like an imbalance, although I don't know your real motivations. Usually, mothers want something else from their child, unless they are in need.

Sorry to disappoint you. I think that your present can even impress your mother and make her happy for a few days, but your atention is even more important.

Re: a suprise present

Hi gooner, it's a lovely thought of you to spoil your mum. I think she will be made up just for the fact that you are trying to make her happy, regardless of how big the gift is.

It depends on what your mum really likes: maybe vouchers in a shop that she really likes, a nice engraved watch or neckless, a football season ticket, or you could buy her tickets to see her team playing abroad, if they are playing abroad anyway ....I know English people are too into football.
Maybe pay for "Scuba Diving" lessons, if she is interested. You should know her better. But the idea on its own will cheer her up

Re: a suprise present

what about a mothers ring or mothers pendant from you?

I'm a mom....something I would love and wouldn't cost a lot...unless of course, your born in April :-)

What I would want most.....just a hug from my kids.....just a hug :-)
