Good Relationship Advice

Another board member suggested doing an internet search for a woman under the name of Mimi Tanner. I did this and came across websites advertising internet books on relationship advice/ how to catch him and keep him/ why he doesnt call etc etc etc
Ive signed up for emails, and receieved some interesting things.
Is it worth buying any of the internet books? Are they really as good as they made out to be?

There is one booklet about how to catch him and keep him. It explains how to make men committed to you. How not to bring up serious discussions with him because itll push him away and suggests he does all the chasing and to let him bring up sensitive and deep meaningful discussions etc etc How not to appear needy and clingy because men hate that. How to talk to him when your needs arent being met in the relationship. It promises to have him in the palm of your hand basically.
Can this be done? Can you make a man fall in love with you by following mimis manual?

Re: Good Relationship Advice

I dont know that its a good idea to 'catch' a man by being something other than what you really are.

Re: Good Relationship Advice

According to the advert, the book doesnt tell you to be someone youre not. Its about how to approach and talk about things. What to do in certain situations. Its not really about trying to be someone youre not, or how to be the perfect woman a man wants...
Anyone come across this stuff on the net?

I have never read one but I don't see how any book can be one size fits all when it comes to relationships.

IMO these books prey on people who have had bad luck in relationships, who lack self confidense, etc..

If a man doesn't want to be committed to you he will not be. End of story. No magical passage in a book is all of sudden going to make the committmentphope come around.

If bringing up a serious topic for discussion pushes a man away then he has no business being in an adult relationship in the first place.

Yes men don't seem to like needy and clingy women. I don't think a book needs to tell us that. I don't like needy and clingy men. This seems like a no brainer, don't be needy and clingy!

I hope the book comes with a money back guarentee. How can one promise that if you follow her "golden rules" of dating that you will have a man eating out of the palm of your hand? I would rather have a man be with me because he wants to be with me, not because I threw my thoughts and feelings away and relied on some book to tell me what to do.

Sorry apple_juice, I'm not trying to mean to you at all and I realize my ranting may have come off a little rough. I just can't stand these people who seem to think there is a quick fix for everything. Relationships are not one size fits all. They are hard work on the part of both people involved. I think if you are true to yourself, your feelings, and your values you will find the right man for you. I don't think any book can possibly make a man fall for you.

Re: Good Relationship Advice

Ive just heard so many times from women that you need to know how to deal with a man, how to keep him, how to talk to him, but thatd come naturally in a good relationship anyway wont it. If you need to resort to a book, then things really dont look good, do they.
Yeah, it does come with money back guarantee lol
