Control freak!, how much more can i take? S.O.S

my fiance is a total control freak, he gets mad at me for being mad at him,we have been together for almost a year now and how much is too much?
we fight a lot, but it never used to be this way before,it all happened recently slowly over about 3 or 4 months. i love him, and i know hes the one but, another downside to this relationship is he lives 4 hours away in another city, i don't entirely suspect him of cheating, but the possibility is still wavering in my mind.
i need HELP!!! what to do what to do?

If he is truly a "control freak" it will only get worse and can lead to real abuse. Are there more examples of his desire to control? He is only the one for you if he respects your dignity and worth by not seeking to control you.

I agree with everything in this post......I wouldn't marry him unless you want to REALLY be under his control.....then he will think he OWNS you.....
these types rarely get better and it usually escalates into verbal and physical abuse that no body needs......
please don't make a mistake that you will regret.....

what does he control? he lives so far away, it would be hard to control you. but sometimes when they do that its a sign of fear.

I think at the very very least, the wedding should be put on hold until you are living in the same area and closer to each other. Perhaps you're both just really paranoid, being so far away from each other, but generally speaking, I do have to agree with the other posters, his behavior will most likely only get worse after the wedding. how sure can you really be that he's "the one" when you're so unhappy?
