Re: Addicted?

It's perfectly possible. If you percieve that your partner is the only good thing in your life then you will become dangerously dependent on them. This isn't a good situation to be in because it often has the effect of stifling the relationship.

I was far too addicted to my first serious girlfriend. So much so that it took me an embarrassing amount of time to accept that she no longer wanted to be with me.

I was addicted to her because she was my source of validation. Aside from her I had no source of confidence because I suffered terribly with acne and didn't believe that anybody else would ever find me attractive.

So when she left I had to go cold turkey. It was an awful time of my life. In the end I learned that it wasn't her that I needed back but alternative sources of confidence and fulfilment. Hence I solved the acne problem

Do you think you are addicted to your SO, Anti Social?

Re: Addicted?

Sure, I think it's possible to be addicted to just about anything. I've know people were addicted to their SO, to being hateful, to Jesus, etc. But just like any addiction, it's not a healty, or a good, thing. Life is about balance, which is impossibile when you're addicted to anything.
