today at work we were all mucking around. i get teased in a playful way. this guy said to me that im an idiot and i said hey i gave you a cake today and he said he was joking. the guys like to tease me sometimes. anyway one of the girls said ooohhhhh she has a crush on him in front of him (which i dont) and i went bright red. this guy said look shes going red. now im worried that he thinks i have a crush on him. he knows i have a boyfriend but i have to go to work tomorrow and im really embarrassed. i went up to the girl that said this and she said he knows we are all joking but what if he doesnt think it was a joke?

I have had this happen to me and it is so awkward. The best thing to do is to go on as if it never happened, and show by your actions, comments about your BF, etc etc that you are not in fact pining away with a crush. Anything you say about it to him or the rest of the people will be even more embarrassing for you and for him.

I agree with the other post. Just go on like its no big deal. If you keep talking about it or give to much attention it will seem like you do really have a crush on this guy. If you were all joking around he probably didn't take it that seriously.

If I were you and that girl would of teased, "ohh you like him" I would of just added, "yess duh i'm in love with him"... teasingly of course.

Try to learn to just go along with jokes sometimes and don't take things so seriously! =0)
