hi all! well it has been a while since my last post. some of you might remember me from my posts about my ex, who was a jerk...or the guy i dated after my ex that just fell off of the earth and i hadn't heard from in five months...

up to date: things for the most part are going well, but i have a question that i hope isn't too juvenile.

Okay so about a year ago i met someone at the gym and i asked him out for drinks...he said he was going through a divorce and once it finished we could have drinks....i saw him around a couple of times, but there was never a hello, or an update on his situation... THEN tonight i was running on the treadmill and he walked past me to leave the gym...as he was walking by, he turned his head and said "HI".

i smiled (while running) and said "hi" back

. anyways he was walking away and turned back three time to look at me....is this (turning around thing) a sign of interest? and if so why doesn't he just approach me???

i am soooooooooooooooo ready to date after my failed relationship, and i would love to hang out with this guy...but i don't know if he is interested... i approached him the first time and now(in my opinion) it is his turn to let me know what's up, right??

I think he probably is. I say "probably" because people are different and act in different ways.

No idea why he didn't ask you out. If you had the guts to ask him out a year ago, you're obviously a courageous enough gal to strike up a conversation. That's what I recommend. Strike up a conversation and see where it goes.

He knows you are interested. You did ask him out after all. And he said he couldn't until his divorce. So the ball is in his court. I would totally leave it up to him now.
And don't just set your hopes on this gym guy. Look elsewhere. Join a club, a society or even online dating (like me). If you're ready, go out and there and do it!

Yes, you've made it clear you are interested. he turned you down. Why would you go chase him again? If he wants you, he'll make a move. I think it's pretty much that simple.

I have to agree with Larrylou'smom..

If he really likes you, he will make the effort..

thanks all for your responses. i agree that if he wants to hang out than "the ball is in his court"....he should come to me. Do you think that this turning around thing is a sign of flirting?

brokenheart: i tried internet dating and i realized that it isn't for me....i don't think i am putting all my eggs in one basket b/c if someone else come along that i am interested in, than i will go for it....

Sounds like he was checking you out...so while I say you shouldn't pursue him, you could definitely give him a cheeky smile!
