wants to get "more personal"

I started a different thread about how I've been emailing with this guy who lives in a different state for a couple of months now...well he recently asked why I don't talk about my "personal life" with him. What does this mean? Does he want a deeper relationship or what? I guess I was keeping it more "light" and funny, etc. b/c I figured deeper discussions are better done in person, or at least on the phone (he hasn't called me yet). So...would love any thoughts on what this means...

Re: wants to get "more personal"

I think you need to ask him these questions and tell him why you are keeping it 'light'. He is the one you ought to be communicating with.

I'm not sure whether i'm getting posters mixed up, but i thought before when he was keeping it 'light' you thought he just wanted to flirt. To a guy 'light' might mean 'flirty' or 'sexual'. Maybe this guy does want to get to know you deeper and therefore needs to know more personal things about you.

Best thing is to tell him why you are keeping it light so he knows what page you are on otherwise he'll get mixed up about what it is you want.
