Sorry to read that you are having the problems in which you describe. As others may offer comfort, I will say that first off, the arrangement of his working so many hours, and you being available 24-7, is a problem in itself. He has to deal with the pressures of work for so many hours a day then come home and find time for a wife, a baby and some normality of getting away from it all. Everyone, (both) MALE and FEMALE need an escape from the world at some point. To request some me time, is not being unfair especially when there is such a FULL plate of continuation.

As to the mental effect of his constant pressure, all anyone can offer would be their opinion. It would appear that he is trying very hard to make 8 gallons fit into a 5 gallon container. Yes, I certainly agree, something has to suffer and if he’s making a good living, and feels that is needed, then the marriage MAY fall victim. It appears that you are trying to find normalcy of a common marriage, when the surroundings presently do not offer that. I would recommend that you try hard not to add further pressure to him by asking about his loyalty to you.

Most will agree that you are in a tough situation, but then again, most family members live with the pressures of balancing enough money, keeping their family members happy and just trying to keep up with life in general. There is no easy answer to solve your situation but from the outside, looking in……. I would recommend being supportive with his job, being understanding of his pressures and offer a relaxed environment for him to want to come home to. I also realize that your job is also demanding and difficult as well, but someone needs to try harder here to make the family work. In doing this, you are NOTHING less then a loving and supportive wife and mother. If he ever does stray, you would have presented yourself as a much better person and believe me, he would look back and see the beautiful person that you are.
