he treats me differently now...help please - Relationship Health Message Board

i've been dating my boyfriend for a little over four months now. Things went great for a while, and he treated me really nicely...but now, i kind of feel like he takes me for granted. I willingly spend almost all of my free time with him, and he gets angry when i try to do something with someone else. I just want him to treat me the way he did for the first two months of our relationship. Now, i just feel kind of controled. He loves me a lot though, and i'm just not sure. He fliped one day when he thought i was going to break up with me, and claimed that he would do anything for me and all this other stuff...but why doesn't he act like that on a regular basis? why only when he thinks he's going to loose me? any recommendations?

He sounds like a control freak and it will only get worse if you let him continue to act this way towards you. You shouldn't let anybody intimidate you or treat you in a disrespectful manner. Stand up for yourself! I can't say why he's changed, but it won't get any better if you continue to let him trip on you for living your life!!!

i can stand up for myself, and i do quite often... and i might fix a certain situatin, but that doesn't stop it from happening again

You say you stand up for yourself and quite often. What kind of relationship is that?, sounds like he has no respect for you if you always have to "Stand Up"

He is apparantly showing his true self, now that the courting is over.

Get out now, before any real damage is done.

No one has the right to control, intimidate or condendsend another.
