Post IT WAS THE OTHER GIRL

No sooner did I post my last post and I got my answer...

A few WEEKS back, my manager had lent me her name tag (how sick is this, our names are the same..) because I'd left mine at home. I wore the tag home and forgot it there. The next time I saw her at work, she saw him and I talking and raced up, demanding her name tag. I was taken aback and said sorry, I'd bring it in next time. He stood there and said "Alright, chick fight."

Anyway, yesterday I actually said a little prayer that God would just make things clear to me. The weirdness of it all had taken it's toll on my self esteem.... and
then as I started cleaning my kitchen, I found her name tag. A little piece of crinkled up paper tucked into the plastic, caught my eye. I think that I knew what it was before I opened it, but I was still completely floored to see his phone number in his handwriting on the paper. I even pulled out the number he'd written down for ME on another piece of paper--to compare the writing and it was the same. I don't think that I still need to talk with her, do you? It all makes sense now and since I'm not going to pick up again with this freek, they can have each other. Although it would be nice to ruin things for him with her by letting her in on things. She is an a**-kicker and I would'nt want her mad at me if I were him. I suppose he would just have some story to cover himself and she would believe it. Anyway, that's that.
It bothers me that he has so many people fooled. They all think he is so wonderful. I wish he could be exposed.~

Thumbs down

Jenna, sorry this happened to you. He is a player and you are better off without him anyway. I hope you have better luck in the future!

Hey Roni!

Jenna, don't give him the satisfaction of even thinking
you cared. I don't know if the old saying is -
"A good offense is a good defense"
or
"A good defense is a good offense"
Either way, act like it is no big deal, don't
confront him or her about it. Wad up that
phone number and put it in the garbage, erase
his number from your mind and start looking for
someone better.

I have been told by many people that I am quite
intimidating, I really am not, just I learned a
long time ago that class wins out every time.
Don't argue, don't cry, don't yell - just go
about your business as usual - when he calls,
have other plans (it doesn't matter if it is
only watching t.v. - he doesn't have to know.)
Don't call him - let her have him, they may
deserve each other.

There is someone much better out there - just
wait and see.

Thank you for your responses. I am so RELIEVED to have actually found the number. It was an awful feeling NOT knowing what was going on. I feel much better now that I know he had all this garbage going on and that it was'nt me. I am also proud of myself that I never called him or took him up on working certain nights when he hinted that we could fool around at work. Monday1954--I am not going to approach him or the girl at work, but I DID shoot off an email to him, letting him know that I knew, and clarifying that it was'nt even the other woman that annoyed me that much--it was that when I tried to get answers, he blamed the tension on my lack of "self confidence"--when all along he knew that he was responsible.
On top of it all, he knew my mom was sick and that I was having a rough time adjusting within the company as my title has recently been redefined. I know that when I go in on Friday, he will be giving me the stink-eye. But I don't care. I'll give it right back.
