Couples needing to meet couples - Relationship Health Message Board

My fiance and I are having difficulty getting along with each other's friends. Mine are too mature for him and I honestly cannot be near his friends because they are so immature. We need to meet couples our age and near us so that we can have mutual friends. Anyone have advice or the same problem? This is really bothering me. We'd rather not spend the money to join the YMCA or something and we are not bar-hoppers. Let me know if you have any imput.

You can make lots of friends at bowling alleys.If you have one near you see if they have a mixed league you can join.Its where couples team with other couples in fun bowling competition.

Living in a great neighborhood was pretty beneficial for us. We got to meet two pretty amazing couples with similar lifestyles as ours. However, it is still difficult make those matches too. My hubby is pretty quiet, philosophical, and only enjoys people with the same interests as himself. I, on the other hand, love all kinds of people with different interests and hobbies. Im also pretty outgoing; the big mouth in the relationship

So even though we have managed to find friends that are couples, we still have the small fights about the fact that he "just doesnt get along" with them and I have to force him to get together with them. *sigh*. We did recently have pretty good luck with a great couple that he met through work. He works with the wife and it turns out her hubby is a great guy the my hubby enjoys being around, so Im crossing my fingers.

Good luck and dont give up cause friends are the icing on the cake of life!!!

I'd really like to know about this too! We're not picky - just most of our friends are single male guys and being a girl, I kind of get tired of them!

I'd love to bowl but I am hyper-extended in both my elbows and no matter how hard I try, I can't be consistant due to the crooked nature of my arms LOL!

Oh yeah, and now I'm pregnant - bars are definately out!

to come to think of it, my hubby and i have never really hung out with another couple either...all my friends and all of his are single...meeting new couples shouldn't be too hard as we are a new military couple, but i'd still like to know of good spots...
