Unhappy I checked his email!

I got bored one night and checked my b/f's email. I found an email he has sent to his friend that said there was a hot girl in his college class he would like to get her number and get with her. It broke my heart. He swore up and down that him and his friends joke around like that and that he swears hes not interested in other girls. I know hes not cheating on me, cause he is with me all the time and its just not possible for him to be cheating on me. Anyways, I don't know what to do. I am still kinda curious about it all, but I know hes not cheating. Its just it hurts that he would say that. What should I do? I want to do something to make him feel so bad and regret it, but I do still want to be with him. I can't do nothing serious unless I was to see it, but I would still like to make him realize how stupid it was to say that. Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 2 years, so yeah thats why it really hurts. Anybody got any information on how to make him feel at his worst. I know that sounds kiddish, but oh well. Thanx for your help.

I see three problems here. First, why were you checking your boyfriend's email? I doubt you did just out of boredom. How would you feel if he did the same thing to you? If he said he was just bored, would you believe him?

Second, even if he was just joking, it's still in poor taste. It's dispectful to you for him to be talking like that. If he really were joking, he should at least say it in front of you, not behind your back.

And third, your goal should not be to make him hurt. It's childish and immature. If you're out to hurt him and he's too blind to see how he hurt you, then it sounds like neither of you is ready for a serious relationship.

You wouldn't be able to access his e mail if he were trying to hide something. Leave his e-mail alone. Everyone needs a little privacy. It's like a therapy being able to talk to someone.

I agree with Donuts, checking his email is a big no no...why would you do that? And why would you want to hurt him? Again, with Donuts, very immature and a no no. But since the damage is already done, all you can do now is just talk to him about it. You both have compromised your trust in the relationship, now you need to try and work your way around it.

hey there, well, whats done is done. you could just talk to him about the fact that he does this 'joking' around and that it bothers you. Who says its always going to stay joking? I know lots of couples that know each others passwords and stuff, I don't see that big of a deal that you checked it, but I wouldn't make him feel bad more than he probably already does.
