Neighbor was outside yesterday & asked my g/f when are you guys getting married. Her reply "yeah right". She moved down 1500 miles & we have been together for 10 months, living together for 2. I just felt that as an odd reply. She told me later that at 22, she feels that she is too young for marriage, but could see herself with me forever. Things are going great. I don't mind giving things time, but the reply kind of upset me. Any advice

Hi - My first reaction is that she was being a bit sarcastic / cynical, because she doesn't know how you feel about marriage... have you talked about it at length with her? Does she know that you definitely want to marry her? (Do you?) Or if you've talked about it, have you talked specifically about marrying HER, or just about being married in general? Open up those lines of communication and talk, talk, talk!! Good luck!

Yes. We talked for about an hour after that. She said that she could see herself with me forever, but wants to live together for some time. I have no problem with that. Communication is the key.

She could have just been embarrassed by being put on the spot when your neighbor asked such a loaded question. It doesn't necessarily mean she doesn't want to marry you. Give it some time. Maybe she wants to finish college first?

No she has already finished. She just wants to be completely financially stable+, but everything is perfect so far so I'm done worrying....
