My girlfriend is 50 years old and on hemo-dialysis 3x a week and the constant battle of dealing with diabetes. I have been with her for 8yrs and I feel like I am loosing my mind or lost it. In every other part of Life she has the constant need for attention, jealousy. and the need for control. I feel I have gave her control 8yrs ago and now we both are way off track. I feel like I am stuck. She moved out 2 year ago, but we agreed to stay together,.. but she still wants to control my life. ..I am 53 and have to deal with her and her 4 adult kids and.. all her grandkids.. and they all drain me mentally as well as finanacially.. Help me,.. what should I do??
start to take your power back a little at a time.......stand firm when you are at odds and don't always give her her way....unless of course she's right!
can you give us an example of how she is in control that bothers you?

You might want to just leave. Of course, I think at first you should do what rose has said. Take control back a little at a time. If she's in control, it's because you let her be in control. Tell her no if that's what you want to do. Do what's best for you, not her. Don't feel bad or feel pity, do what's best for YOU!! If things still don't get better, than leave her!! You don't deserve someone controlling you all of the time.

She's a very jealous person,.. she's constantly aware of my attention,.. example: when we go out, she always says "you just want to look at other girls" ..I can't talk to another girl for the time or directions, or even make small talk (weather, news, ect...).. without her being involved in the conversation,.. even if its just small, small talk, like "thank you", she'll blurt out "oh, yesss thank you so much" ...its like she needs to be the one controlling the conversation. But, she doesn't know how to control it, she just knows how to Want.
