I have just been put on quinin for my restless legs and wondered if anyone else was on them? I keep getting this odd rush of heat going up my upper back to the top of my neck. Could this be related to the pills?
I've just started on these tablets too and dont feel any side effect from them... nor do I feel any positive effect; they're totally useless! Do u not find?! It says on quite a few RLS sites that Quinine is an inappropriate drug for RLS and that it's used to treat leg cramps; which is a different disorder.
My husband drinks tonic water for his RLS because it contains quinine. He has severe RLS when it acts up. He spends the night kicking and spazing for hours and hours. But the tonic calms it down more times than not. It doesn't work for everyone though. So if the tablets aren't working for you, they're probably just not the right thing. Seems to be different for everyone.
Well its partially working, i mean its not as bad when i take the pills, but its still there and still keeping me awake. I had some blood tests this week anyway and go back to my doctor soon so i shall tell him that its not good enough!
