Rls & anemia
Recently, I had all of the symptoms of RLS. It got to be so bad that I could not lie down in a horizontal position. The result was no sleep for days at a time. I was overdue for an A1C blood test, so I went to the dr and he did a blood workup. He discovered that I was extremely anemic. The iron level listed 'warning' on the report. He sent me to a hemotologist for introvenus iron treatments. After the second treatment the RLS symptoms subsided. I no longer have to pace the floor all night. While I still have insomnia, the RLS seems to be in check. If your symptoms are accompanied with fatigue, have your blood tested for iron levels.
