Post alternative to mirapex

After 2 years on Mirapex, I found it was no longer working for me. I took a 2 week drug holiday, and when I came back to it, it did work somewhat better. Incidentally, increasing dosage (from .25 to .5 mg) did not seem to have any effect--seems it either works or it doesn't, no matter what the dose. So I went back to the specialist, and he has put me on Neurontin. After a week and a half, so far so good. Unlike Mirapex, neurontin helps me sleep instead of hindering sleep. It doesn't completely work on the bad nights, but the good thing is that then I can still take Mirapex, too-- and not taking Mirapex every night is helping it to work better. The two together, so far, have done the trick.
I've been around this syndrome long enough to be a bit jaded. I know that nothing works all the time or forever. But this treatment is giving me some good, restful nights.

My doc just took me off Klonopin and put me on Mirapex, about a week ago. This seems to be working for now. The shakes I had are gone now that I stopped taking sinemet.
