neurontin and mirapex - Restless Leg Syndrome Message Board

Is anyone taking Mirapex AND Neurontin? I have been on Mirapex for about 4 yrs. and it worked! But, as many have also experienced, it now doesnt work as well, sometimes not at all, and I have insomnia., Dr. suggested methadone, but I said no, and suggested neurontin. I took 300 mg. of that and the .375 mg Mirapex, and SLEPT! But I feel "altered" this mornind, and a little wobbly. Would love some feedback. It feels so good to have e-compadres to discuss this with. I am taking 200mg of Neurontin once daily and taking it with Celexa...and it really has helped out on my RSL. Not sure if the combination of the two are good or not but I feel great and am sleeping through the night

I take 600mg neurontin and 1mg of the mirapex it works but I HATE mirapex...I get nauseous on it and even hate going to bed YUCK!!!!..but without it i get the rls back...catch 22!!!....Jim

I just read the post regarding celexa and neurontin. I am seeing my doctor today because after all this reading I have discovered that being on ADS does make my RLS worse. I am seriously contimplating asking for the Neurotnin but if any one can give me more feedback regarding Ads specifically celexa I would really appreciate it. I lost my job dut to lack of sleep and would like to go back to work and I am willing to try anything that will work. Unfortunatley I went off of Ads and I had to go back on. I have no choice there so what is the next step? I don't want to make the Rls worse either as I have read can happen from being on some of these meds prescribed for RLS.
