It seems that everyone experiences RLS differently, or uses different words to describe it.
According to recent research from John's Hopkins, RLS is a brain disorder due to low iron in the substantia nigra part of the brain. Thus, it may be worth having your blood ferratin levels checked (level should be >50).
What you describe also sounds like it may be sciatica (the sciatic nerve is a large nerve that runs down the length of the leg). Or, if you stand on a hard floor all day - it could just be achey legs. Or it could be something else. If it's bothering you frequently, you might want to discuss it with your doc - and make sure they take it seriously!
