I used to (10+ years ago) get charlie horses in my legs all the time, was prescribed Quinine, also told Calcium would help...funny thing, I had just moved out on my own and was not drinking milk like I did at home. I think I took a few of the Quinine, but immediately started drinking milk and...voila! No more charlie horses! However, I haven't noticed if it has helped with my RLS recently. If I don't drink enough milk during the day, I think I go through withdrawals! LOL I have been drinking a glass of milk before bed, just 'cause I love the stuff...I'm gonig to have to really start paying attention to see if it is helping at all. I think I'm going to get some Quinine tho, especially since, not only did you post this, but just 2 days ago, my mom mentioned it to me!!! Bizarre! Anyway, thanks, shazzie, for the reminder!
