Question Is it RLS??

So I am not sure if what I have is RLS....

I get this sensation that I can only liken to pressure build up that I have to release with a massive leg twitch/jerk/spasm, sometime multiple spasms- the sensations are normally in my hips and sometimes knees.
This only happens in the evening when I lie on the couch, never used to bother me in bed but the last few nights I have lost sleep due to the twitching Seems to be starting when i am sitting as well.

Is this RLS?? Does anyone else have symptoms like the one I describe? Cos I have goggled the crap out of it and can't find anything LOL.

Thanks in advance!!

Best description I have seen - thanks.
I have have this for several years - my doctors (seen more than 1) all tell me there is no cure and I should learn to live with it.
My wife was very unimpressed about this - it affects partner badly too.

Re: Is it RLS??

mine is an uncontrollable urge to move my legs while I am still ,sometimes with crawling sensations and feeling as though I have on hose , somtimes lying still at night I get a jerking which can be felt on any part of my body
my neurologist treats mine so, I guess its neurological, I was diagnosed when I had a sleep study , these are by doctors that specialize in sleep disorders and abnormal brain and nervous systems disorders , I was also diagnosed with narcolepsy , my neuro prescribed requip for the jerking and night tremors

have you had a sleep study ?

Re: Is it RLS??

This very well could be RLS. It is quite similar to what I go through. Unfortunately I have found nothing that "cures" mine, but malic acid seems to help mine.
