I have a host of health conditions already, so currently take 17 different drugs for them. Drug Interactions are a nightmare! Now started very severe RLS. Put on Ropinirole at 0.5 mg - no effect - slowly up to 2mg - Ok for RLS but a ton of serious problems came with it. Double BP, Double Pulse-rate, Half Blood Clotting Time, Depression, Anxiety, Huge Headaches, Joint Pain, Blurred Vision - I can go on and on! Had to come off it, so looking at using TENS device? Anyone with experiences here? I don't know how many pads or where, plus I have to choose between Tapping, Kneading. Rubbing modes?
Any advice will make my Day & Night!

I have tried a tens unit for RLS and found it helpful. You can just experiment with pad placement, intensity and the different modalities to see what works best to block those awful sensations. I am on Sinemet (generic) 10/100mg with Mg and Ca before bed and those help too, but not completely. There is a new patch called Neupro for RLS just approved by FDA, supposed to be available in pharmacies in July, so will try that too.

I have tried a tens unit and to me it did not help. I have had severe rls for about 20 years and at time about went crazy with it. I am taking 2 mg of requip of a night and 1 mg in the afternoon. I am also on 1200 mg of gabapentin daily which they have researched and found it to help with rls. Since I have started the gabapentin it has really helped me. Good luck with the tens unit.
