SUCCESS with Lidoderm lidocaine patches! :) Lidoderm lidocaine 5% patches, by prescription only, put on my calves stop ALL my RLS symptoms and let me sleep through the night. The Lidoderm patch is a HUGE BREAKTHROUGH. No more twitches. No more spasms. No more aches. No more pain. :) Up to three patches can be worn at one time (1.5 per calf) 12 hours on, 12 hours off. The lidocaine works by DIRECTLY COATING the nerves under and near the patches. The lidocaine does not travel through the circulatory system so does not negatively affect the brain nor liver. There are no contraindications with other meds. No side effects. No addiction. No worries. :) Also, since lidocaine is NOT a narcotic, doctors will easily prescribe the Lidoderm patches; scripts can be written for 12 refills which is a year's supply @ 90 patches/month (3 patches/day for 30 days). TRUST ME -- LIDODERM PATCHES WORK!!!! Best wishes, everyone. ~Annie |
Re: SUCCESS with Lidoderm lidocaine patches! :) Forgot to say: 1. I'd LOVE to get some feedback from others who try these patches (>600 people have read this post). 2. The patches are MUCH STRONGER than most people believe. 3. The patches WORK FASSSST. 4. The patches are LARGE (1.5 patches will medicate entire calf). 5. The 12-hrs-on, 12-hrs-off directions are *perfect* for us! I slap on my patches at 6 p.m. and remove them at 6 a.m. 6. I do not represent the company that makes Lidoderm--I'm just an MS patient with RLS (member/reader since 7/09 finally being able to give back to those who have helped me). Best wishes, everyone. ~Annie |
Re: SUCCESS with Lidoderm lidocaine patches! :) I have something torn in my knee; ortho doc gave me a lidocaine patch. Ended up working even better on the RLS symptoms than the oxy/mirapex combo prescribed by my sleep/neuro doc. It's definitely worth a try. |
Re: SUCCESS with Lidoderm lidocaine patches! :) After a back injury and 2 surgeries I started getting rls at night it was driving me nuts the doctor prescribed requip which didn't work very well and often made me throw up repeatedly with anything more than a minimal dose. After trying everything without success I decided one night to try putting a lidoderm patch on each leg hoping it would do something but I wasn't expecting them to do anything but it worked great. Since I was only using 1 on my back a day my doctor didn't have a problem with prescribing me more of them so now when i get symptoms which is usually 2 or 3 times a week it takes care of them really well. |
