restless legs

I was DX with MS September 2008. I have RLS, and think that it is getting worse. Can anyone tell me what fells like. When i have my attack my legs don't want to stay still. I keep jumping up and down because they bother me so much, my medications doesn't seem to help. Can someone tell if that is how it feels.

Re: restless legs

I have RLS and when I get to bed my legs just go a mile a minute. My husband says my legs do not stop all night. I use lyrica its good for nerve issues.

Re: restless legs

Yes, RLS causes an uncontrollable urge to move the legs. Your legs feel fidgety, irritable and walking around or moving is the only thing that helps. Neurologists treat RLS, so the Dr caring for your MS could help with that. There are several meds that work well, plus calcium and magnesium at bedtime can help. I would ask your Dr for something to try, and keep working on it until you get some relief. It is officially called Willis-Ekbord Disease (sp?) now, as the name was officially changes just this week.
