Surgery and restless leg syndrom

I've been managing RLS with Mirapex. However, having just had surgery for a hernia, my RLS is rampant and totally unresponsive to medication. Anyone had a similar problem - and can offer a solution?

I think pain makes the RLS worse, so if you are very recently post op, I would make sure to take a pain pill 1/2hr or so before you go to bed, if you are still having pain. This could also be a temporary effect from general anesthesia, and should subside over a week or two. A sleeping pill could be requested for a few nights as well, if the pain pill idea doesn't work. Or you might ask your Dr about bumping up the dose of Mirapex temporarily until your legs settle down.
