| | confused; recently diagnosed
This is going to be a long one, since I don't really understand RLS. I'm recently diagnosed. If any of your symptoms match and you can offer any advice/experience/story, that would be great.
After much leg troubles, starting from visible twitching, I was finally diagnosed with RLS. It started with twitching, then slightly sore legs. After finals and a period of jobhunting (I'm a college student), I enjoyed my break just last month. However, one day, I felt a bubbly sensation throughout my legs, and followed by extreme soreness. My legs felt like they ran a marathon and they felt terrible even though I was just standing.
The next day, it subsided. It hasn't come back. What is happening now is these pins/needle & bubbly feeling that happens when I'm in bed or sitting down. I guess when I'm walking, I just don't pay attention to these slight movements. Sometimes I feel that my arms/hands/feet also feel these pin pricks.
With some other symptoms, I was convinced I had MS or something not RLS. I had an EMG and brain MRI that were both normal; my doctor at this point does not want to continue testing. She gave me the pre-natal, iron, b-complex plan.
Could this be stress? Do you guys also experience these symptoms? Does RLS lead to something maybe more serious? Thank you very much.
