Re: rosacea..please reply
When I first read that rosacea usually affects people of the age 30 and up, I was actually surprised. I am also 21, but I have had rosacea since at least high school. I never thought it was a serious skin disease until recently. I haven't been diagnosed officially, but I am sure I have it. I get red very easily, whether it is in uncomfortable situations, or drinking just a tiny bit of alcohol, eating spicy foods, and when exercising. My face is also a tinge red normally, even though it's not like that when I wake up.
I also have some blackheads, and I used to have some whiteheads. Also, I had oily skin until my recent bout with allergies that made my skin extremely dry. All I can say is be careful with the acne products, make sure you dont use too many and nothing that harsh- bec. apparently most acne treatments will make rosacea worst. Medically there's no cure for it, but I've read that there are some internal cleanses you can do that will cure it (do a search in this board or google).
You could always ask another dermatologist for a second opinion. Good luck!
