Could I have rosacea?

My face gets really red when I exercise and sometimes stays that way for hours after. Also, if I'm out in the cold wind, my face will get all red and blotchy. Pretty much every kind of soap dries out my skin, and I have to use lotion or it gets really dry. I'm not sure if my skin is just super sensitive or damaged from previous years of using harsh medications. I definately have acne like you would typically think of it (not the red bumps I associate with rosacea). Any opinions?

Re: Could I have rosacea?

U could. Do u feel heat in your face or do u feel like u flush a lot? U don't have to have any bumps to have rosacea. When i first found out I had it, all I had was a red dry face.

Re: Could I have rosacea?

my face definately feels hot sometimes (not always). like i said, particularly after exercise or after i've been out in the cold wind. it's definately dry all the time (at least without lotion). But i've read that people with rosacea dont get black heads or white heads. lucky me, i get both.
what do you do to treat your rosacea?

There is a cream called 'Metro Cream.' It comes in pill form too. The pill really messes with your stomach though (nausea and such). I don't know how good it is though. I'm trying a little of the topical now, to see if it can take away the red off my face, I think I might have some rosacea too around my nose, but so far I haven't noticed a difference (only been using it about 2 weeks).

No, not at all. In fact, I haven't really noticed a difference in anything yet.
