I have always had clear skin for the most thur puberty and my teens...........now all of sudden @ 22 years old, my skin is so red and itchy and bumpy, mostly on my cheeks and chin...............dr. told me its a form of acne/rosacea combo...........arent people born with rosacea or it can flare up at any time?.......maybe stress realted?.....

what are other suffers prescribed to treat this?........is there any type of cure or will i end up fighting this forever?..........please tell me there is light at the end of this tunnel

im sorry for the rant, guys.....it is just really getting to me

No, you aren't born with it, other than having an ethnic tendency to have it. When I was diagnosed, I was told it usually flares up at about my age, which was thirty.

I was prescribed a cream called metrogel, but I haven't ever refilled. I avoid the trigger, which for me is heat, and treat flare ups with Aloe Vera gel from Fruit of the Earth.

Food and alcohol can also be triggers.
