I am 25 years old. I have very fair skin. Other than the occasional zit, I have never had any skin problems. Over the past few weeks, the skin on my face, especially my upper cheekbones and my chin and forehead, has been very dry and red and irritated and itchy. I use a lot of eyedrops because I have dry eyes, and they occasionally drip down my face. But I've been using them for almost 5 years and they never caused a problem. And that wouldn't cause my forehead to be irritated, or my chin! So I am wondering if I am just windburnt from being out in the cold winter weather, or if I have Rosacea. I have a dermatologist appointment for tomorrow, but I just want to get some opinions of other patients. So far the only thing that seems to be helping with the irritation is plain old Vaseline. But it is giving me pimples. I wash with plain bar soap. Can anybody recommend a good facial moisturizer and a better soap? (If this is really what I need.)
Thanks,
Elyse

Pure aloe vera gel is a good treatment for rosacea, as long as you aren't near the nose disfiguring stage, I guess. It's all I use.
Thanks. I went to the dermatologist today. My face is really itchy, on top of being red. He said I have Sebhorreic Dermatitis and a touch of Rosacea. He gave me two different creams. I don't remember the names right now cause the prescriptions are at the pharmacy being filled.
