Rosacea?

Hey everyone, I am having a bit of a problem.

I am a really pale girl of 20 and all my life I have had soft skin, up until recently. I haven't had a change in diet or exercise and I eat healthy. All of a sudden my skin feels really rough and dry and moisturizer only helps so much. My cheeks and nose have a slight red tinge to them but it is VERY bad after I shower.

In the shower I use an all-natural facial cleanser with vitamin E (since the perfumed cleansers make me break out) and I make sure I rinse it off properly, but when I get out my face across my upper cheeks just underneath my eye feels tight, tough, and has small peeling flakes of skin. The area is also bright red.

I am partial to hot showers, so could this be part of my problem? Or could I be dealing with rosacea like some other people have suggested?

Smile Re: Rosacea?

I have the same irritation when I shower. I switched to cream cleansers (foaming ones irritate) and a moisturizer with green tea and spf 15 moisturizer (vaseline daily skin sheild). I still have these horrible bumps (that aren't pimples) all over my nose and cheeks. They get worse when I eat certain things or don't use the moisturizer.

If it is rosacea use an spf 15 moisturizer with green tea (the green tea soothes irritated skin), avoid foaming cleansers, do NOT use soap on your face, and watch what you eat. I'm avoiding chocolate right now to see if it makes a difference. Look up rosacea on a search engine and see what you find. I notice hot showers irritate my face more, so try cool showers.

Re: Rosacea?

Hi! I have a solution for your rosacea. Have you heard of Arbonne?

Hi sweetie, im 21, it sounds like you might have rosacea do you rub your face hard when you have bath or rub it hard with a towl when you dry it? because if it does go red after you do that then you probably have early rosacea. try gentle patting rather than rubbing your skin this will help 100% and reduce a flare up on you cheeks and nose. good luck hope everything goes ok.
