Rosacea and antibiotics

Hi,

I have had a bad case of rosacea on my face for over a year. I am allergic to minocycline, so the doctor has been trying all sorts of antibiotics and creams. My next trial is Bactrim. Has anyone had any luck with it??? I am using this in combination with a sulfur-type face wash and two creams.

Thanks!

Rosacea never goes away..

Have you tried metro? (cream or lotion) that is the most popular topical I think. It's Flagyl.. are you allergic to that antibiotic?

No, I'm not. I was diagnosed with regular rosacea and ocular rosacea. Now on 2+ months of the antibiotic Bactrim, using a sulfurcedimide face wash two times a day, and using both Azleic acid and retin-A. I have definitely seen an improvement (for the first time in a year and a half), except for today since it's very hot out (in the 90s) and the heat seems to be aggravating it. I have SPF 45 on, and have not been in direct sun. I'm hoping that this treatment will work since nothing else has!
