facial weakness/eyelid ptosis

I have many symptoms that I believe belong to one disorder however my symptoms vary so I will just make a list and see what people think I may have. P.S I hope in the near future I will be able to see a doctor about this.

-Eyelid ptosis
-Facial weakness
-Knees Collapse involuntarily
-Drooping face including cheeks, lips, slack drooping jaw, eyelids
-Difficulty holding up my neck and head
-leg,ankle weakness (I have had two fracture's and two sprained ankles)
-Heart murmur, Angina, Bradycardia,
-Weak hand grasp
-joint pain/inflammation
-sensitivity to cold
-Skin problems rosacea,dry skin
-Digestive problems pancreatitis,gastritis,gallstones,inflam mation
-easy fatigue

I have more symptoms but this pretty much sums it up.

Re: facial weakness/eyelid ptosis

It's weird since the possibility came up for me (and probable diagnosis)... I've noticed my symptoms in other people more and more. I've been told I most likely have something called a mitochondrial myopathy, and your symptoms sound very similar. It's especially sounding suspicious since you have so many multi-organ problems-- pancreas, GI, heart, neuromuscular, ocular... the ptosis sounds about right too, as does the easy fatigue and muscle weakness. I HIGHLY suggest you mention metabolic disease to your doctor. This is pretty rare, or rather, isn't "popular" enough that people are diagnosed with it a lot yet. Hope this helps.

Oh, if you want to know my symptoms:
eye pain
severe hypoglycemia with some highs
severe progressing spasticity of my legs
seizure-like episodes
writhing/clenching of my muscles
weakness
easily fatigued
breathing troubles
exercise intolerance
GI issues (GERD, IBS in addition to ulcerative colitis which is in remission, nausea)
Migraines

These diseases vary from person to person in their presentation based on the type of disease you may have. One person may have heart involvement which another has liver involvement. More organ involvement can happen over time too.

Good luck and please let me know what you find out or if you have questions.
