rosacea flare up caused by chemical irritants?
I have been recently diagnosed with Vasomotor Rhinitis and Rosacea. For several months, my co-worker had been spraying air freshener in the office SEVERAL times a day and even coming in to my work area and spraying when I was not at my desk. I was OK for the first 1 1/2 months; however, when it continued my sinuses started burning, I was always feeling very fatigued at work and irritable. Finally, she was told to remove the air freshener and she immediately (that same day) brought back a candle which started an immediate reaction with intense burning in my face and eyes. The allergy specialist stated that it started with the Vasomotor Rhinitis which damaged the blood vessels inside and outside the nose and cheeks which led to the progression of Rosacea which I suffered from for 2 months before I was diagnosed. Now whenever I get around any air fresheners or candles (not even burning), my face and eyes immediately start to burn. Has anyone else had any flare ups from chemical irritants?
