Exclamation Halux regidus

I am 47 year old female who is very active and wear boots on a regular basis. I have been recently diagnosed with Hallus Rigidus. My job will soon have me on my feet more often then usual in the near future and I would like to know would it be more benificial to me to have surgery then the remedy of wearing carbon fiber plate inserts. I have had bunions for years that would flare up at times, now it seems lately the pain is more often and worse. Just want to get some idea of what the best solution

Re: Halux regidus

You need to post this on the foot problems board. This is for a skn condition called rosacea.

My suggestion, since I've had surgery (cheilectomy) on both big toe joints for this is to call your nearest major college athletic department or professional dance company and ask who they use for feet. Hopefully it is a sports med ortho who is foot and ankle board certified.
