New Here - Rosacea? Malar? pls read

Hi everyone,
I'm new here, or at least, I haven't been on the boards in two years, back when I was having some hair loss due to iron issues. I have no diagnosed chronic illnesses so far and am on no medication except for iron supps for low ferritin due to heavy periods and Omega 3 for dry eyes.

I was diagnosed in December as having a particularly bad case of Fifths disease, which caused all over rash and extreme arthritic pain. Took a week of steriods and was back to normal. However, the blood test indicated elevated ANA. One doc recommended a rheumatologist visit, although a second doc said could just be from the virus.

After dragging my feet a bit, I made an appt for May 7 to be checked out for lupus. Most symptoms I do not have, however I do have a red rash on my face. It is getting worse (in part from stress over my health i think). It is red, swollen at the cheekbones, bumpy and sometimes breaks out both in tiny tiny white heads right at surface and also deeper red bumps that linger and then go away. I would say it is a bad sign that I have lupus, except that the redness extends all they way to my forehead, and down most of my face including the smile lines. My chin and nose are mostly spared. I have a burning feeling, mostly where the rash is worst on the left side of my upper cheek. It is swollen, almost like I'm getting over a black eye. Have you had swelling with rosacea?

i should add that I eat very healthily, sleep fine, and have no fatigue issues.

I am a 46 year old female.

If you got this far, any insights? Could it be rosacea or does it sound more like lupus/malar rash? As i said, I'll know more in a month but the swollen cheek is kind of freaking me out.

Thanks to anyone who responds. I need some support.
